Dr. Alok Bansal, son of senior journalist Trilok Agrawal of the district, has brought laurels to the city of Janjgir by obtaining DM degree in Gastroenterology and Hepatology from CMC Vellore. Now he is working on the post of Assistant Professor in the said department itself. Earlier, he had obtained the degree of MD Medicine from Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. It is noteworthy that Dr. Alok's wife, Dr. Anjali, earned her DM Neurology degree from GB Pant Hospital in New Delhi last year and is working as an assistant professor in CMC Vellore. Apart from this, Dr. Anjali is also an assistant editor of the scientific journal Annals of Movement Disorders.
